Why did you title the CD Robert & Family?
OSIRUS® has received this question a lot.
We don't recall which one of us said "Let's name the CD Robert & Family" but we do know this...
We were doing a photo shoot on November 10, 2002, with our photographer A. Richter and promotions manager Angie.
We went to several different places around downtown Houston,
one of which was that funky little park off of Bagby that goes under Rusk. Well as luck would have it,
there was a broken down golf cart under the bridge.
We were taking a picture with the band in the cart when a family of five walked by us.
One of us called out and said "Hey, y'all want to take a picture with us?".
The parents said it was fine with them, so the kids all piled up in the golf cart and pictures were taken.
As we were climbing out of the golf cart, the kids started to climb all over it.
One of the parents said "Robert, get down from there!" At that point somebody said "Awww, a picture with Robert & Family."
Then someone else said "Hey, let's name the CD 'Robert & Family'".
Everyone thought it was a good title at the time and we went on posing for pictures.
A few months later, we finished the recording and made the final decision and that, dear reader,
is why the CD is called "Robert & Family".
As it turns out,
the best ideas oftentimes come when you're with friends having a good time.
So next time you're out with your friends,
raise a glass to Robert and remember sometimes it's good to be the one climbing on top of the golf cart.
